Body of Christ Church Biography PageGabriel Ward is an enrolled member of the Desert Cahuilla Tribe, from the Torres-Martinez Indian Reservation in Southern California, and currently pastors The Body of Christ Church.
He and his wife Laura, and their three daughters have been missionaries to Native America since the early 80's. Since returning home in 1997, they have established roots upon their homeland.
Many years before, the Lord spoke a word to Gabriel from John 15:16, "You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain."
The vision of their apostolic calling is to evangelize, disciple, and equip indigenous people, and help to position them into leadership in the body of Christ. This is accomplished by a culturally relevant presentation of the Gospel, in seminar and conference settings, lighthouse prayer meetings, networking of ministry relationships, as well as through the ministry of the local church.
Those who understand that Jesus has created all nations as unique people groups made in God's image, with redemptive gifts to contribute to the body of Christ, are empowered to rise up and fulfill their destiny in God's eternal plan.
