10 Ways to Pray for Native American People






Pray that non-native believers will repent of pride, superiority, control and greed. (Matthew 6:19-24; Luke 22:25-27; James 4:6-7)

Pray that native believers will repent of anger, bitterness, judging and unforgiveness. (Matthew 5:23-24, 6:14-15, 7:1-2; James 1:19-20; Ephesians 4:26-27; Hebrews 12:15)

Pray for acknowledgement by those in authority of their institution's part in racial genocide, broken treaties, and abuse of children. (Exodus 34:7; II Chronicles 7:14; Psalms 32:5)

Pray for healing of the collective wounded spirit. (Proverbs 18:14; Isaiah 61:1-3; Hebrews 12:15)

Pray for a desire in the Body of Christ to know Him better through the Holy Spirit revealed image of Jesus in each individual culture. (Genesis 1:26-27; Acts 17:26-27; I Corinthians 12:11-14)

Pray that God will confirm to all mankind His call to First Nations and His restoring power for ethnic and cultural identity. (Romans 11:25, 28-29, 36; Ephesians 3:8-10; Revelation 5:9)

Pray that God will reveal and heal racism throughout the body of Christ and that we would go beyond reconciliation to relationship. (Romans 12:9-14; Colossians 1:19-23)

Pray that believers on reservations would be encouraged and strengthened. (Romans 15:13; Ephesians 1:17-23, 3:15-20)

Pray that the unique expressions of worship in native dance, language, songs, and instruments would be restored to the Body of Christ. (Psalms 22:27-28, 150:3-6; Romans 15:5-12; Galatians 2:14; Revelations 7:9-10)

Pray that native believers would fulfill their portion in healing and restoring the land. (Genesis 14:17-20; Jeremiah 1:9; Deuteronomy 21:8)
